What we collect
From buyers: your name, email, phone number, delivery address and order history. From people selling us a laptop: your name, ID number, address and phone number — the Second-Hand Goods Act requires us to record these.
Why we collect it
To process and deliver your order, honour warranties, keep the second-hand goods register the law requires, and contact you about your order or back order. We do not sell your information.
Devices are wiped
Every device we take in is securely data-wiped before it is refurbished or sold, and a wipe certificate is kept on file. Any personal data left on a device we buy is destroyed in that process.
How long we keep it
Order, warranty and register records are kept for the periods required by South African law, then deleted or archived. Marketing contact details are kept until you ask us to stop.
Your rights
You may ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, and you may complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa. Contact our information officer first — we will respond within a reasonable time.
